We've been working on improving our AI assistant, Crunchy Bot, and wanted to share what's new.
🤖 New AI Features
We're experimenting with AI-powered features to help make the community more useful:
- Thread Summaries: Get quick summaries of long discussion threads
- AI Replies: Request AI responses to specific messages in threads
- Broader Topics: Crunchy Bot now understands we're a gardening and sustainability community, so feel free to discuss topics like electric vehicles, renewable energy, and environmental conservation alongside gardening
🔒 Privacy & Control
Your privacy matters to us. If you're not comfortable with AI features, you can opt out at any time on your account settings page. We respect your choice and won't process your content with AI if you've opted out (warning this feature is still experimental, and we are testing it out live).

Next time you're in the community, look for the "Generate Summary" button on threads or the "AI Reply" button on messages to see how it works.
